SGF Lauds FRSC on Innovation

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, CON has commended the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Shehu Mohammed, for giving a new lease of life to the Agency through the introduction of transformative innovations.

SGF gave the laudation when the delegation from FRSC led by its Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, mni, in company with the Executive Director, Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) Foundation, Saul Billingsley paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja.

He commended the Corps Marshal for raising the bar with transformative innovations, which have significantly transformed the Agency.

“The Corps Marshal, since assumption of Office has introduced a lot of innovations and improvements to the system, and these things are going to be unveiled tomorrow during the lecture. He has done quite a lot and is still doing well for the sector”.

Sen. Akume also commended the Executive Director of FIA Foundation for his global efforts in preventing road traffic mortality through his advocacy and road safety enlightenment campaign. He added that Nigeria is wearing a new look because of the efforts the present administration has put in across the country.

Speaking earlier, the Corps Marshal of FRSC, Shehu Mohammed said the aim of the visit was to abreast the SGF of The FRSC 8th Annual Lecture Series and to introduce the Guest Lecturer for the lecture- Saul Billingsley, who has contributed immensely through his intervention campaign on road mobility safety and environmental impact.

In his remarks, the Executive Director of FIA Foundation, Saul Billingsley said the Foundation is committed to partnering with governments and civil society organisations to reduce road traffic casualties and improve sustainable transport.
