Defence Minister Pays Operational Visit to Troops in Birnin, Kebbi

In a bid to bolster the morale of the Nigerian Army Soldiers, the Honourable Minister of Defence, His Excellency Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, CON mni, conducted an operational visit, on Friday to the Nigerian Army troops stationed in Birnin, Kebbi State.

The Minister met with soldiers at Dukku Barracks to evaluate the ongoing military operations in the region. The visit was also intended to instill a stronger fighting spirit, with the ultimate goal of eradicating insecurity across Nigeria.

 

Addressing the gallant soldiers, the Minister conveyed the President gratification. He said, “The President and the nation are profoundly grateful for your commitment. However, the fight is not yet over. We must not rest on our laurels.

“I urge you to double your efforts, to push harder, to be even more vigilant in your pursuit of those who seek to destabilize our nation.

“We must bring an end to all forms of insecurity swiftly and decisively, ensuring the safety and security of every Nigerian citizen,” the Minister affirmed.

He maintained that, The President expects “nothing less, and the nation deserves nothing less.”

 

Questioning the troops, the Defence Minister asked “Are you ready to end insecurity?” In unison, they affirmatively said, “Yes! Sir!”

The minister, however, commended the troops’ steadfastness and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to support them by prioritizing their welfare.
